New for 2005 East Coast Mini Classics Introduces
A Mini Fire Truck named the "Puppy Pumper"
Our 1st Mini "Puppy Pumper" (MP) rolled off the assembly line in early Feb of 2005 and immediately began a 4-week tour all over Central Florida. The feedback it received was extremely positive and proved to be a delight to all who saw it. Every passenger had a huge smile and was excited to see onlookers wave to them or snap a picture. The main intent for this 1st version is to be a people transporter, used in parades or simply used as a pleasure vehicle. It is however very capable of putting out small fires or assisting in limited emergency rescues!
One feature which makes the MP unique is its size, measuring 4'-5" wide x 13' long thus enabling it to get around easily and fast in crowded areas. Traveling down a narrow isle is no problem for the MP since it can turn in a tighter radius than a full sized vehicle. Maneuvering is easy and safe due to its unique hydrostatic drive system, hydraulic brake systems and rack and pinion steering. The travel controller is a single forward/reverse foot pedal which increases/decreases speed by progressive pedal movement.
Other unique features of the MP are its low maintenance design along with a rugged "truck look". A 23hp Kawasaki V-twin air-cooled engine powers it, and it has a 20 amp alternator. It is equipped with a GM style tilt steering wheel and controls much like an automobile so licensed drivers are familiar with turn signals and lighting functions. The rear dual wheels offer good stability, floatation and increased load capacity. The MP weighs in at 1500 lbs. and is NO TOY as it can carry 2000 lbs. of cargo or passengers! It is equipped with sirens, air-horns, strobe lights, rotating beacon, LED directional and flashing lights. The halogen headlights also operate in the flashing mode. The control panel has working gauges to monitor oil temperature, battery voltage, fuel level, low oil pressure warning and an hour meter for scheduled maintenance. The front axle can be greased for long service life as well as easy steering. The rear axle is a ring and pinion style made by the Dana Corp. For your convenience and safe transporting, towing and tie-down hooks are provided.
East Coast Mini Classics (ECMC) has decided to offer a more usable and versatile version of our MP. A front bench seat to accommodate two people can replace the 1 person driver's bucket seat. The rear seats can be removable thus allowing for more flexibility in its use. Adaptations for use as a real fire/rescue vehicle will allow for storage compartment configurations to carry all necessary equipment. Small water or chemical storage tanks can be added to aid in fighting small fires. Receiver pockets located along the tops of the rear side rails to receive posts can be used for holding up a roof. This would not only provide protection from the sun and bad weather but would also provide an area to attach ladders, hoses, backboards or other equipment. Foldaway seating in the rear will allow for a platform to be used as a treatment or transportation area. ECMC would be happy to accommodate you regarding any special custom designs or needs you might have.
Since the MP is a multi-use vehicle, we encourage the following businesses to consider purchasing our product. fire departments, security companies, private organizations, parade enthusiasts, collectors and anyone who would just love to own a "very cool" ride! It is a great public relations tool able to be used in a number of ways, such as fire prevention and safety seminars at schools and other public gatherings. The MP would certainly be a crowd pleaser whether you want to transport/rescue people, sell rides for a fundraising event, excite everyone at a parade, give rides at parties or simply want to show it off at your favorite event.
The cost of the standard MP as pictured is $19,750.00 (excluding shipping). Due to the quality workmanship and durability of our MP, we feel this is a justified price to pay. We strongly believe this would be a great investment considering all the possibilities for its use as a service or pleasure vehicle. To place an order we require a $2,500.00 deposit with delivery time to be determined at time of order. Presently we have 4-5 months of orders so if interested, it would be wise to act soon!
